In December, he partnered with JCPenney on their Giving Tuesday event, taking 50 children from a local club Holiday shopping for their families. In return, JCPenney joined Desmond in helping to fund the Blessings in a Backpack program for 100 children at the clubs. That program provides bags full of healthy foods for children to take home each weekend, when they do not have access to nutritious meals at school or the clubs.
Desmond Truant is preparing to enter his fourth season with the Atlanta Falcons as a starting cornerback. Last season Trufant had one sack, one interception and 35 tackles, while quarterbacks quickly learned not to throw in his direction. His standout play earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl. Trufant was a first round draft pick out of Washington in 2013 and has six career interceptions and 143 tackles.
