Josh Harrison has become as important to the Pittsburgh community as he has to a Pirates team that has made three consecutive playoff appearances.
Josh’s Dreambuilders program has worked with Blessings in a Backpack and the Pittsburgh Food Bank in an effort to make sure Western Pennsylvania’s most needy children get the food they need to stay healthy.
Thanks to a partnership with Edgar Snyder & Associates, Josh’s program has provided $25,000 in funding to Blessings in a Backpack, which provides bags of food for children to take home on the weekends, over the last two years. Josh and Dreambuilders also provided the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank with a $10,000 grant in 2015 as well.
In addition to his work to fight hunger, Josh also helped the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania remodel the teen room at the Sto-Ken-Rox club located in one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods.
